Job Description: Project Manager/EstimatorLocation: Guelph, ONSalary: $120,000–$130,000 per yearBenefits: 4 weeks of vacation, full health benefits, RRSP matching, professional development opportunities, and a clear path for career growth.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join a dynamic and growing team in Guelph, ON. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing and estimating projects across Industrial, Commercial, Institutional (ICI), Residential, and Civil sectors. This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of the local market and sub-trades, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and requires minimal supervision to deliver excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management:Lead and oversee multiple construction projects from initiation to completion.Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.Coordinate with clients, sub-trades, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.Monitor project progress and resolve any issues that arise promptly.Estimating:Prepare accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment.Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine costs.Identify and negotiate with sub-trades and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.Provide value engineering options to optimize project budgets and schedules.Collaboration & Leadership:Build strong relationships with local sub-trades and suppliers.Foster a collaborative work environment with internal and external stakeholders.Ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.Strategic Growth:Actively contribute to the company’s growth platform by identifying opportunities for improvement and expansion.Support and mentor junior staff as part of our professional development initiative.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in Project Management and Cost Estimation within the construction industry in Canada.Proven track record of managing projects in ICI, Residential, and Civil sectors.Strong knowledge of local sub-trades, suppliers, and market conditions in the Guelph area.Proficient in construction management software and cost estimating tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.What We OfferCompensation: Competitive salary of $120,000–$130,000 per year.Benefits:4 weeks of paid vacation.Comprehensive health benefits package.RRSP matching program.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
