The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing and estimating projects across Industrial, Commercial, Institutional (ICI), Residential, and Civil sectors. This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of the local market and sub-trades, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and requires minimal supervision to deliver excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management:Lead and oversee multiple construction projects from initiation to completion.Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.Coordinate with clients, sub-trades, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.Monitor project progress and resolve any issues that arise promptly.Estimating:Prepare accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment.Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine costs.Identify and negotiate with sub-trades and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.Provide value engineering options to optimize project budgets and schedules.Collaboration & Leadership:Build strong relationships with local sub-trades and suppliers.Foster a collaborative work environment with internal and external stakeholders.Ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.Strategic Growth:Actively contribute to the company’s growth platform by identifying opportunities for improvement and expansion.Support and mentor junior staff as part of our professional development initiative.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in Project Management and Cost Estimation within the construction industry in Canada.Proven track record of managing projects in ICI, Residential, and Civil sectors.Strong knowledge of local sub-trades, suppliers, and market conditions in the Guelph area.Proficient in construction management software and cost estimating tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.What We OfferCompensation: Competitive salary of $120,000–$130,000 per year.Benefits:4 weeks of paid vacation.Comprehensive health benefits package.RRSP matching program.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
