Our client, a designer/manufacturer and global integrator of welding and assembly systems and material handling systems, is in search of an Surface Designer to join their team.RESPONSIBILITIES: Design projects using solid geometry and prepare layout and detail drawings with solid modeling techniques Construct and modify design and surfacing mathematical surfaces Input identification data, codes, and design instructions to retrieve and display necessary drawings and graphics, including grids, scales, radii, point locations, vertical and horizontal lines, drafting symbols, and textual data Use commands to manipulate displayed graphics by rotating views, adjusting dimensions, and modifying data to develop designs or update drawings Verify the completeness and accuracy of final drawings on screen before releasing or storing design data Produce finalized hard copy drawings, including specified elevations, cross-sections, projections, or other required details Experience with sheet metal stamping or hemming die designs is recommendedREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:University degree in engineering or college diploma in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent experienceTrained or experience using Catia and or NX UniGraphics softwareFive (5) years of direct experience with 3D and 2D designExcellent communication skillsMEDA offers an excellent referral bonus.
