The job is based in Kitchener- St. Mary’s – Stratford, ON area. Candidates must have experience of launching New custom-built parts on to the production lines which involved APQP, welding equipment selection, welding line modification, capital project management and writing welding work instructions to optimize productivity and reduce waste. 5-8 years in welding process engineering is a MUST; hands on welding experience helps; CWB training highly preferred Welding & Fabrication Project Engineer is a hands-on role working closely with production in this very specialized custom fabrication of large sized welded specialty products. You will launch each new customer design on to the production line and will be responsible for selecting welding equipment, OEMs, establish a process flow, create welding work instructions and oversee the complete projects during welding equipment movements, re-installs, capital installation, commissioning and similar. You will work on optimizing the welding line, train welders and operators, write /revise welding SOPs and establish welding best practices. This includes APQP and the delivery of all the milestones of the project.Welding & Fabrication Project Engineer will ideally have 5-6 years’ experience in custom welding ( MUST have) , CWB level 2 highly preferred, established experience in improving welding processes including bending cutting forming and writing welding procedures. Excellent English communication skills are a MUST and an ability to work with all levels within of the organisation, train associates and welders, APQP.
