Their duties include installation, troubleshooting and repairs. The role also involves troubleshooting equipment, advising customers, building relationships, and creating service call reports. Key Responsibilities: Installation of structured cabling systems, pulling, terminating and testing copper and fiber cabling as per specifications and customer requirements.Troubleshoot and test various network and connectivity related issues.Installation of network equipment and LAN room buildouts.Installation of cable support systems i.e. cable tray, conduit, and J-hooks.Site surveys to determine project requirements. Design and install cable pathway and support systems i.e. cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks, conduit.Qualifications: 5 plus years of experience requiredBelden, Panduit, AMP, certification is a plusConduit experience is a plusProficiency in reading and comprehending technical drawings with the ability to carry out the scope of work and provide the required deliverables and documentationMust be able to install, terminate, troubleshoot, and test all types of low voltage copper cablingMust be able to install, terminate, troubleshoot, and test fiber optic cablingAbility to manage multiple projects efficientlyMaintain a safe work environment by following company policies and safety proceduresProject planning – ensuring projects are completed on time and on budgetExcellent customer communication and service skillsMust have a strong work ethic and work well in a team environmentProficient use of Microsoft and computersOpen availability to work non-traditional hours including emergency service calls on short notice, weekend and after hours work as requiredAvailability for occasional multi-night travel for out-of-town workMust have a clean valid driver’s licenseMust be able to pass an RCMP background checkWhile we appreciate all applications we receive, we advise that only candidates under consideration will be contacted.Ainsworth (a GDI company) is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
