ICOR products are used by individuals in military, law enforcement, nuclear, and security-related sectors, and are developed through continuous dialogue with clients to ensure innovative and cost-effective solutions.Job PurposeThe NPI (New Product Introduction) Specialist will provide cross-functional NPI support across the entire ICOR organization. The NPI Specialist will lead the transition from prototype to a released product. Through a structured process, the NPI Specialist will define, develop, and launch new or improved products.This position interacts regularly and coordinates efforts within ICOR’s R&D, Product Management, Production, Operations (including Procurement and Supply Chain Management), Sales & Marketing, Customer Support, and Quality Control functional groups.This position establishes processes, control plans for design and manufacturing requirements, monitors performance, and initiates corrective action when required in accordance with ICOR processes and/or customer requirements.Role - Typical DutiesDevelop and execute the establishment of structured NPI processes and workflows.Providing NPI support to product development projects, mid-life improvements, lifecycle management, customer programs, internal and external manufacturing:Facilitates in Design for Manufacturing and Design for Test of products.Provides Manufacturing Support, Communications, and Time Management for both Internal and External stakeholders.Leads collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Production Teams to deliver a Critical Design Review (CDR) and Limited Run Initial Product (LRIP) documentation, process evaluation, and readiness plan.Ensures acceptance criteria is clearly defined, and that appropriate inspections and checks are conducted, and the associated documentation, manuals, reports, and records are maintained.Ensures that NPI deliverables comply with applicable corporate policies, processes and/or contractual and/or regulatory requirements.Develops necessary process capability studies, as necessary, for manufacturing improvements.Investigates identified problems or trends, performs RCCM (Root Cause Countermeasure) analysis and implements correction action plans in a timely manner and coordinates with the R&D Team or other departments as required.Lead all lesson learning plans to improve design, engineering, and manufacturing change management.Support the Quality Team in the escalation of internal and external manufacturing quality practices and/or issues.Provides technical guidance to other employees and assists with the creation and maintenance of manufacturing related and product specific documentation.Skills and Training RequiredTechnical Certificate/diploma or degree in mechanical, electronic or equivalent discipline, or company product knowledge and experience, including strong knowledge of mechanical and electronic assembly, machining, software QA.3 – 5 years’ experience in NPI, project coordination, and product development, preferably in an electromechanical manufacturing environment.Familiar with the requirements of ISO 9001 (latest version) based Quality Management system.Familiar with market product regulatory requirements (e.g., MIL-STD, IEC, etc.)Strong background in problem solving, data collection and analysis techniques.Familiar with inspection, testing and de-risking procedures and methodologies, including First Article Inspections/Test.Work cooperatively with others to achieve individual, team, and organizational goals.Be able to interpret technical documents such as drawings and schematic diagrams.Skilled in analyzing and solving process and product deficiencies.Strong organizational skills with a good work ethic and the ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a cross functional team.The ability to clearly describe, explain, and document information, concepts, ideas, and instructions to others.Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work streams to meet or exceed established deadlines and priorities.ICOR believes in the benefits of a diverse workforce and is committed to equal opportunity and affirmative actions.
