We believe that each team member plays a critical role in our success, and we are currently seeking a Specialist, Aerodrome Operations to contribute to the achievement of this vision.About the Role:As a Specialist, Aerodrome Operations, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day management and smooth operation of our aerodrome facilities. From aircraft fueling and de-icing operations to runway maintenance and helipad management, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of airstrip and aerodrome functions. Your contributions will directly impact the safety and operational success of our aviation services. Key Responsibilities:Aerodrome Operations & Safety: Perform physical inspections of the airstrip to ensure safety and compliance with operational guidelines.Aircraft Handling: Oversee fuel management (including testing and fueling), de-icing operations, and aircraft parking to ensure smooth arrivals and departures.Maintenance & Groundskeeping: Maintain the airstrip, runway lighting, snow removal, and general grounds upkeep.Helipad & Apron Management: Coordinate helicopter and fixed-wing traffic, ensuring safe operations.Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety procedures, manage emergency response protocols, and liaise with Transport Canada to ensure all regulations are met.Vendor & Personnel Coordination: Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and team members to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.Customer Service & Communication: Provide exceptional service to pilots, crew members, and passengers, ensuring smooth, efficient operations and timely communication.Qualifications & Experience:Previous experience in Air Traffic Services, Air Traffic Control, or as a Transport Canada Certified Dispatcher (or equivalent) is highly preferred.Minimum 3 years of experience in Field Maintenance at an aerodrome or equivalent facility.Industry Canada Restricted Radio Operators Certificate and ability to hold a Transport Canada Restricted Area Identity Card.Extensive experience with aircraft de-icing and fueling operations.Post-secondary education in aviation or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.Valid Class 3 driver’s license (with air brakes) and experience with heavy equipment.Ability to pass the required Drug and Alcohol test.Ability to lift over 50lbs and stand for long periods.Desired Attributes:Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to foster positive working relationships.A proactive and safety-focused mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement.Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work under pressure while maintaining high attention to detail.A team player who is adaptable and thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
