Our client, a unionized food manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery, ensuring smooth operations and safety standards.Details:Monday-Friday, Day Shift$80,000-$120,000 salary based on qualifications + Bonus!Benefits from day 13 Weeks vacationResponsibilities:Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff (Level 1-5, Stationary Engineers Class 2 & 4).Mentor technicians and operators, ensuring efficient troubleshooting of mechanical, refrigeration, and electrical issues.Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on critical equipment (boilers, refrigeration, rendering machinery).Oversee the preventive maintenance program and ensure compliance with safety and food safety standards (CFIA, GMP, HACCP).Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and manage inventory.Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OHSA and WHMIS regulations.Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruptions and resolve equipment-related issues.Qualifications:5+ years of experience in maintenance management in a food manufacturing environment.Experience with refrigeration systems, boilers, and centrifugal equipment (e.g., rendering equipment, pumps, conveyors).Refrigeration B Ticket (preferred), Ontario Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (433A) Certificate (asset).Strong mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of PLC programming, food safety, and regulatory standards (CFIA, GMP, HACCP, OHSA, WHMIS
