We also work with grocery retailers, mass merchandisers, drug channel, and food service customers across the country to create and produce a wide variety of private label branded products.Overview: As the Maintenance Electrician, you will be required to repair and maintain industrial equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.Shift: Morning Shift - 6:45am to 3pmKey responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Practice safe work habits. Comply with all applicable legislative and Trophy Foods health and safety, food safety, and environmental policies and procedures.Service, clean, and perform preventative maintenance on all production and plant equipment both electrical and mechanical.Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics both electrical and mechanical, understanding electrical code, building, and mechanical regulation are met or exceeded when determining the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.Test electrical and electronic equipment components for continuity, current, voltage, insulation, and resistance.Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, drives, servos, generators, industrial storage batteries, electrical controls, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices in a timely manner.Ensure that the work area is always clean of debris and hazards, upon arrival and when departing each area of work.Interact with all employees positively and promote a cooperative working environment.Promote and comply with TROPHY’s Health and Safety policies and procedures including the wearing of PPE, Lockout, WHMIS, etc.Perform other related duties as assigned or required.Experience, Qualifications, and Educational Requirements:Must have Industrial Electrician License (442A) or (309A) and/or1 to 3 years of industrial, electrical, and mechanical experience, preferably in the food industry.Demonstrated ability to read and interpret machine/electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.Some automation (PLC, VFD, Servo, HMI) experience would be an asset.Good communication skills with high energy, respect for diversity, reliability, and a can-do/team-first attitude.Time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills required.Physical Effort:Almost continuously engaged in one or more physical activities simultaneously, occasionally required to sit. (E.g. Walking, lifting, and carrying heavy objects that weigh around 13-25kg or more, reaching with hands and arms.)Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.Occasionally exposed to factors such as humidity, noise level over 85dB (mandatory hearing protection on the plant floor), and moisture which will cause frequent periods of discomfort.There is regular exposure to factors that carry an extreme risk of accident or illness which cannot be eliminated from the job.The employee is expected to be flexible in terms of providing support and backup for functions outside of their job description and for working outside their normal working hours when necessary.Sensory Attention:Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.Ability to apply common sense to problems involving mathematical skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplication, and dividing and written or oral instructions.Mental Stress:There is noticeable pressure from deadlines, accuracy or similar demands in a fast-paced environment.Trophy is an equal opportunity employer that values workforce diversity.
