With its robust network of industry experts and partnerships, adMare plays a pivotal role in shaping a globally competitive biotech sector in Canada.The Role: Our client are looking to bring in a Senior Director of Facilities and Real Estate Operations who will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, management, and operational excellence of their innovation centres and facilities across Canada. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in real estate asset management, innovation, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is an accomplished leader adept at working with internal and external stakeholders and working collaboratively with all other business lines, as well as building relationships and providing exceptional service to our diverse range of partners and existing tenants. The Senior Director of Facilities and Real Estate Operations requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills and must be adaptable, efficient in time management, and capable of building collaborative teams. Negotiation skills, emotional intelligence, and strategic thinking are also essential for managing partnerships and agreements, fostering professional relationships, and driving long-term organizational goals.Key Responsibilities: Strategic Partnership Development:Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships and alliances that align with adMare’s Innovation Centre model to create opportunities for Canadian companies and innovation to thrive within Canada’s Life Sciences Ecosystem.Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships. Develop and implement strategies to attract tenants and strategic partners and strengthen existing relationships to build out the Centers essential services.Foster a collaborative and innovative community within Life Sciences across Canada with the centres through shared service offerings and access to Wet Lab spaceDevelop and maintain strategic partnerships with government bodies, industry stakeholders and landlords, securing funding and resources through partnerships and grants.Financial Performance of Innovation Centers BusinessAnalyze market conditions, occupancy trends, tenant mix and competitive pricing to ensure financially sustainable practicesImplement strategies to maximize revenue optimization.Prepare and manage operations budgets, monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures to forecast future financial performance.General Business Operations & Building Management:Collaborate with leadership to define the strategic vision for the innovation centers business and its alignment with organizational goals.Oversee the Innovation Centers across Canada, including a team to maintain and operate the centers, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment.General oversights of:Operational efficiency - Identifying areas for operational processes standardization, enhancing KPIs and metrics, leveraging technology to increase efficiency and optimize space and cost utilization.Partners, Tenants and Contractor RelationshipsCompliance with relevant regulationsQualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
