Website: Vibrewing.com Instagram: @vibrewing Position Overview: Vancouver Island Brewing is seeking a highly organized, personable, and detail-oriented Sales and Marketing Coordinator for a Full-Time Permanent position. This position is essential in supporting our trade and channel marketing efforts, coordinating sales team needs, managing event activations, and ensuring seamless execution of our beer sampling program. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, possess excellent organizational skills, and be comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting beer kegs. Key Responsibilities Trade and Channel Marketing Coordination: Manage and maintain the consumer tasting schedule for retail locations, coordinating closely with territory managers, brand ambassadors, and store contacts to ensure tastings are properly scheduled, staffed, and executed for maximum exposure and sales impact. Proactively manage the staffing of tastings, working with brand ambassadors and territory managers to ensure coverage while addressing last-minute changes or challenges as needed. Collaborate with the sales team to align on retail and merchandising strategies, ensuring stores are well-stocked with promotional materials, point-of-sale- items, and trade tools. Maintain efficient inventory systems to track distribute, and replenish these materials. Work with the Marketing Manager to execute retail and on-premise marketing campaigns, ensuring timely delivery of assets and clear communication with the sales team to maximize campaign effectiveness. Event Coordination & Activations: Lead the planning, organization, and execution of external events such as tastings, festivals, and trade shows, ensuring all details are managed efficiently. Manage and maintain events budget, tracking expenses, processing invoices, and ensuring all financial aspects align with allocated resources Coordinate all event logistics, including vendor communication, securing permits, product inventory management, transportation, and setup/teardown schedules. Serve as the primary point of contact during events, managing operations, troubleshooting issues on the spot, and ensuring smooth activations. Ensure all events are properly staffed by scheduling brand ambassadors, coordinating with sales teams, or stepping in personally to represent the brand when necessary Evaluate the success of each event by gathering feedback, analyzing outcomes, and creating post-event reports to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Administrative Sales & Marketing Support: Oversee ecommerce operations, including maintaining product listings, monitoring inventory, processing orders, and coordinating shipping to ensure a smooth online customer experience. Act as a key point of contact for general inquiries from customers, retail partners, and stakeholders, providing accurate information or connecting them with the appropriate team members. Assist the sales and marketing teams with administrative tasks, such as organizing materials, coordinating vendor communication, and managing small-scale projects or ad hoc assignments. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2+ years of marketing in a sales, marketing, or events coordination role preferably within the beverage alcohol, CPG or related industries. Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field. Valid Class 5 Drivers License and reliable transportation. Valid Serving it Right Certification Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Comfortable handling physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50lbs (e.g., beer kegs), and participating in on-site event coordination. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with customers, partners, and internal teams. Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary to support events, with a willingness to travel within the region to manage these activities and support sales efforts. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the beer and alcohol industry, including an understanding of liquor laws and permitting Experience managing e-commerce platforms (e.g., Squarespace, Shopify, etc.), including product listings, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
