Job Title: RQ08411 - Project Manager/Leader - Senior Start Date: April 1, 2025 End Date: March 31, 2026 Duration: 250 Business Days Location: 21 College Street, Toronto/200 First Ave W, North Bay NOTE: This position is currently listed as 'Onsite'; however, the Assignment under this request will provisionally be Hybrid, working 7.25 hours per calendar day, sometime between 8:00-5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks) Monday to Friday inclusive, unless otherwise identified. These conditions are subject to change as the OPS reflects on its current situation. During the duration of the assignment, you will be under the discretion of the Hiring Managers requirements for the Project you are assigned to. NOTE: OPP-2 Security Clearances could take approximately 10 weeks to process. Manage, oversee, track, and update large complex projects, including the schedule, risks, and deliverables. Provide support to the project team and Ministry partners to complete and manage all required aspects of the project including documentation. Work with project team to ensure successful delivery for the Public Safety Radio Network (PSRN) project. Must haves: Experience working on projects for the Ontario Government/ Federal Government / Broader Public Sector. Experience leading large scale public safety radio projects. At least 7 years in project management. 3+ years in large-scale public safety or telecommunications projects Familiarity with public sector governance models. Criteria Program Management Skills --- 35 Points In-depth project management expertise, managing complex network projects, vendor oversight, risk mitigation, and use of standard PM tools. Communication & Relationship Management ---- 25 Points Excellent written and verbal communication, team coordination, and stakeholder relationship management. Public Safety Radio/Telecommunications Experience ---- 20 Points Experience with large-scale telecommunications projects, network design, and public sector governance. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills ----- 20 Points Risk identification, issues resolution, decision-making support, and knowledge of project dependencies and critical paths. Skill Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated experience with PM tools like MS Project, Visio, PowerBI, etc., and managing large-scale projects. Telecommunications Knowledge: Specific expertise in public safety radio networks and telecommunications infrastructure. Risk Management: Proactive risk identification, mitigation strategies, and inter-dependencies management. Stakeholder Communication: Clear, politically astute communication with multiple stakeholders, including vendors and public sector clients. Vendor Management: Experience managing vendor deliverables and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Technical Acumen: Familiarity with telecommunications systems and network design concepts. Documentation & Reporting: Ability to create and present dashboards, reports, and project documentation. Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, mentor junior staff, and coordinate multiple concurrent tasks. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement. Public Sector Experience: Experience with Ontario or Federal Government projects is preferred.
