Job Description Reporting to our Senior Estimator/Project Manager, the Electrical Estimator & Project Manager plays a role on our project management team supporting our efforts to deliver on client projects in an effective and efficient manner. You will be responsible for managing a project from client engagement through to completion. Along with your experience and expertise, your strong organizational skills and attention to detail will produce results that inspire our clients confidence in Signature Electric as their contractor and technical advisor. Your strong people skills will allow you to build relationships with vendors, colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders to support growth in our business and establish a high level of trust when working with us. Responsibilities Engage with clients to establish project goals, objectives, and outcomes to prepare a clear project scope and success criteria Review documents, drawings, specifications, addenda, and/or quotations and produce take-offs and BOMs Prepare proposal documents including scope of work and pricing for projects Review changes in scopes of work and prepare change orders as needed Request quotations from relevant subcontractors and suppliers and prepare purchase orders to secure the most cost effective and highest quality materials and services Direct internal resources such as labour and equipment and supervise the execution of the project in compliance with the contract, project schedule, company policies, and industry safety practices Manage project spending to ensure a healthy financial performance and provide reporting to supervisors throughout the project Work in conjunction with the accounts receivable department to coordinate invoices and progress payments Provide technical support to field staff when appropriate Communicate with various stakeholders including clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and colleagues on a regular basis Qualifications Post Secondary Education AND/OR Trade Certification AND/OR equivalent work experience in the electrical field 5 or more years of experience as an electrical estimator and/or project manager A deep understanding and knowledge of electrical materials and construction Strong comprehension of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage competing demands and priorities Exceptional interpersonal skills, especially when it comes to working with customers and fellow co-workers Our office is highly computerized so computer skills are a must Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office as well as online project management applications Highly detail oriented, organized, and ethical Ability to lift at least 25 pounds 309A License would be an asset Experience with Knowify Construction Management Software an asset Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary Range: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 CAD per year Benefits: Dental care Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Paid time off Vision care Work Location: In person (Markham, ON)
