If you would like to learn more about our company, we encourage you to visit us at Job Summary We currently have an opening for the position ofManager, Market Access and Public Affairs, Canada .Reporting to the General Manager, Canada, this unique role combines responsibilities in both Market Access and Public Affairs to support ALK's mission of delivering innovative pharmaceutical solutions to patients in Canada.As a strategic partner, you will work closely with the General Manager and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful market entry and favorable public perceptions of ALK's products.This position is based in our Toronto, ON office. Responsibilities Market Access: Develop and execute comprehensive market access strategies to enable successful reimbursement and product accessibility across provincial, federal, and private payers. Working alongside global Market Access conduct and manage the submission of reimbursement dossiers, including the preparation of health economic models, budget impact analyses, and value propositions. Engage with key stakeholders including payers, Health Technology Assessment (HTA) bodies, and patient advocacy groups to negotiate and secure market access. Monitor and analyze policy changes, reimbursement trends, and competitive landscape to address potential opportunities and threats. Provide input on pricing strategies, including value-based pricing, to maximize product adoption and marketability. Engage and work with external market access consultants, as required, optimize market access strategies for new and existing products Public Affairs: Develop and implement public affairs strategies, including but not limited to an evidence-based medicine framework, to enhance the company's reputation and positively influence public and governmental perception. Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, policymakers, and industry and patient associations. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, and assess their potential impact on the companys operations and strategic objectives. Coordinate and manage public affairs campaigns, including media relations (in collaboration with ALK Global Communications), stakeholder engagement, and public policy advocacy. Participate in industry conferences, forums, and working groups to represent the company's interests and viewpoints. Additional expectations: The Manager, Market Access and Public Affairs shall actively, in close collaboration with the Canadian sales and marketing organization, work to find solutions to optimize patient access to ALK products The Manager, Market Access and Public Affairs actively takes responsibility for developing the Company through participation in the ALK-Abell Pharmaceuticals Inc.management team and hereby takes ownership of critical market access and public initiatives that will directly impact stakeholders including customers, patients and partners. The Manager, Market Access and Public Affairs shall live up to the formal requirements for managing cross-functional relationships ALK as well as being a role model for the ALK Cultural beliefs. Qualifications 5 years minimum of pharmaceuticalmanagement Leadership experience gained from similar positions, and a broad understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape in Canada Bilingual (French/English) is an asset for communications with customers and stakeholders in Quebec and New Brunswick Demonstrated business acumen Strong communication skills aiding implementation of sales strategies to engage wholesalers, private insurance companies and public payers, and handling of potential cross-functional implications of implementation Proven track record of successful market access initiatives and public affairs campaigns. Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, reimbursement processes, pricing, and regulatory environment. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel as needed.
