We are actively engaged on some of the largest infrastructure projects across the UK and Canada, performing to our mission statement:Working together to develop intelligent programme management solutions, helping to deliver a more sustainable world.Overview of Role:An Access Standards Project Manager is a senior level Project Manager and Subject Matter Expert in operational readiness and standards development within planning and delivering major infrastructure projects on the Railway Network.The Standards Project Manager works in accordance with D2 values and is responsible for working independently delivering strategic and operational guidance to the client, acting as subject matter expert along with producing or reviewing standards, processes, work instruction and regulations. In addition, and if required the Standards Lead Project Manager must be able to deliver complex multidiscipline work packages and/or projects from early design and development to construction and hand-back in accordance with agreed scope, timescales and budget.Other works may include process mapping, business improvement initiatives, representing the client team as a delivery subject matter expert and developing work instructions.Purpose of the role:The role requires the Project Manager to have working knowledge of operational readiness procedures and processes along with the ability to produce high quality publishable standards. To bring best practice and previous experience writing policy and procedures and communicate with stakeholders up to and including C Level, Vice President, Director stakeholders along with project teams and supply chain partnersResponsibilities:Deliver complex multidiscipline work packages and/or projects from early design and development to construction and hand-back in accordance with agreed scope, timescales and budgetWork in accordance with D2 valuesDeliver strategic and operational guidance to clientsProduce/Review standards, processes work instructions and regulations.Process mappingBusiness improvement initiativesRepresenting the client team as a delivery subject matter expertDeveloping work instructionsReport writing, document production (policies/procedures/standards) and review of technical documentation.Requirements:Attained a minimum of the Association for Project Management (APM) Project Managers Qualification (PMQ) and or Project Professional Qualification (PPQ) or equivalent such as Project Management institute qualification.Able to demonstrate competence for role as per the requirements of the D2 Project Management Competence Framework and Career Path Development Framework.Has 5 10 years experience in Project / Program Management roles with in-depth knowledge of the Railway industry with the UK or Canada.Experience of report writing, document production (policies / procedures / standards) and review of technical documentation.Experience of delivering operational process, policy and procedures in a major complex railway program / project environment in the UK or Canada.Experience of independently project managing at least one complex work package and/or project within the relevant sector in accordance with the sectors project management lifecycle and governance requirements.
