Position Overview Our client is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to support employees across Western Canada and Quebec. This role, based in Calgary or Edmonton, focuses on providing direct HR support and execution while ensuring employee needs are met and aligned with operational goals. As the HR Manager, you will collaborate closely with employees and leadership teams to foster a positive workplace culture and deliver practical HR solutions. This role is ideal for a bilingual professional (English and French) who can manage diverse teams across multiple regions. Key Responsibilities Employee Support & Relations Serve as the primary HR contact for employees in Western Canada and Quebec. Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and programs while addressing employee concerns and mediating conflicts. Drive engagement initiatives to enhance satisfaction, morale, and retention. Recruitment & Onboarding Lead recruitment efforts for roles in the region, ensuring the acquisition of top talent. Partner with hiring managers on job postings, candidate selection, and onboarding. Training & Development Coordinate and deliver training programs to support employee growth and operational needs. Facilitate performance management processes, including coaching, reviews, and development planning. Compliance & Administration Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment laws and internal policies. Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and documentation. Support the creation and implementation of HR policies and procedures aligned with company goals and legal requirements. Compensation & Benefits Assist in managing regional compensation and benefits programs to meet employee needs. Provide guidance on understanding and utilizing benefits effectively. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive HR experience, emphasizing hands-on execution and employee support. Bilingual (English and French) required. Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance in Western Canada and Quebec. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to build trust and foster positive relationships with employees and leadership.
