As part of their exponential growth, we are seeking a Vice President of Construction to lead all aspects of their Construction Department. This pivotal role will oversee both in-house construction projects as a developer and third-party projects delivered by a general contractor. The portfolio includes a robust backlog exceeding $900 million, with individual project values ranging from $12 million to over $250 million. Projects span a wide spectrum, from small building retrofits and interior renovations to large-scale commercial office/residential rental conversions and new high-rise, mixed-use commercial/rental/retail developments in downtown Ottawa. Reporting to the President, the Vice President is a key member of CLV Group''s senior leadership team, responsible for driving alignment across functional and project teams, processes, and systems to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service excellence. As a visionary leader, the Vice President inspires and motivates teams to perform at their best, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Qualifications: Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management within the real estate development sector. Preference will be given to candidates with a focus in industrial, commercial and industrial (ICI) real estate, residential and/or high rise. While work experience will be preferred, it will be beneficial to have a diploma or bachelors degree in construction management, project management, real estate development, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline. Strong understanding of construction processes, budgeting, scheduling, and regulatory requirements. Proven track record and solid references for successfully managing complex projects from conception to completion. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a focus on building relationships. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
