Benefit from a supportive and inclusive work culture that promotes professional growth, collaboration, and work-life harmony. Key Responsibilities: Draft wills, codicils and powers of attorney. Attend and witness signing meetings with lawyer and clients. Prepare and file probate applications with the court Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on file progress. Assist in the administration of estates, including preparing inventories of assets and liabilities. Take minutes and dictation, maintain filing systems, draft correspondence and scheduling meetings. Coordinate with financial institutions, accountants, government agencies, and beneficiaries. Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, under supervision of the lawyer of record. Other general and administration office work as required (ie answer calls, schedule appointments, conduct conflict searches, open files, etc.). Qualifications: 3+ years of experience working in wills and estate law. The ability to meet strict deadlines and to work independently with minimal training. Have advanced organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple files at once. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients, lawyers, and officials. Computer skills and the ability to pick up new technologies quickly. Willing to work out of our Rockland office a minimum of three days a week. Bilingual (English and French) is mandatory.
