Hays has partnered with a general contractor in Edmonton seeking a Superintendent to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and residential projects. As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities: - Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities of construction sites - Ensure that all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards - Manage and supervise subcontractors, employees, and suppliers - Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications - Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the project manager - Attend and participate in meetings with clients, architects, and engineers - Ensure that all work is in compliance with building codes and regulations - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities and expenses - Manage the construction site to ensure that it is clean, organized, and safe at all times Requirements: - 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in both commercial and residential construction projects - Strong leadership and organizational skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications - Knowledge of building codes and regulations - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously - Valid driver''s license This opportunity offers a competitive salary range, a truck allowance, gas card, RRSP matching, employee ownership shares, and starting with 3 weeks of vacation.
