We are seeking a seasoned Project Specialist dedicated to quality and service with at least ten years of in-office and on-site construction experience. Working with the project teams, the Project Specialist will provide risk management solutions, strategies and technical support for multiple institutional, commercial and industrial construction projects in the GTA. Their duties include reviewing budgets, blueprints, and schedules, identifying and communicating potential issues with relevant stakeholders, and advising on best practices and strategies for mitigating potential impact to the 5-week look ahead schedule. Key Responsibilities: Analyze, investigate and monitor the critical path and project schedule using MS Project and Procore. Manage the project scope change management process, cost management and forecasting (Delays, Productivity Issues, Extra Work, etc.). As required, assist in training other project members on digital construction-related software (Procore) and workflows. Partner with Project Managers to analyze, identify and execute Procore/Project training needs to support organizational goals. Conduct ongoing administration, support, and maintenance of the Procore change management process. Monitor and control progress, costs and budgets throughout the project, ensuring any impact to the 5-week look ahead schedule is communicated to project stakeholders Perform other duties as assigned to meet business unit and corporate objectives Job Requirements Knowledge: Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related engineering or construction management discipline is an asset In-depth knowledge and understanding of building process, costs, and scheduling Strong understanding of all disciplines within construction management - safety compliance, scheduling, critical path analysis, cost control, quality control, etc. Proficient in interpreting and reviewing project drawings, specifications, permits, and blueprints. Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and the Ontario Health and Safety Act. Valid G license and ability to travel to various project sites across the GTA. Skills: Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment. Patient and empathetic approach to interacting with others and training new users. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing competing priorities. Technology : A tech-savvy individual who can quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and software systems is considered a strong asset. Strong technological proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook) required Experience with Procore or other construction management software and tools is required Experience with Zoho CRM is an asset Ability to interpret completed building models and drawings using Revit software (preferred but not required) What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package.
