Adecco is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager for a 6-month contract opportunity with our Public Sector client in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate must be eligible or hold a valid reliability level of security clearance. The role requires a Hybrid requirement of 3x per week in office. The Finance Manager will have the following responsibilities: Creates a positive work environment and culture within the department, provides clear objectives and performance expectations for staff, and ensures that staff are provided with the support necessary to deliver against the expectations of their roles. Understands key financial and operational drivers of performance and integrates these into financial model for analysis and forecasting to assess progress being made toward financial goals and objectives. Analyzes monthly, quarterly, and year over year results and trends; produces and updates rolling forecast and ensures accuracy and integrity of data and information used resulting in the ability to anticipate and clarify future issues, risks and opportunities. Assesses risk and analyzes proposed alternatives for corrective actions to meet plan objectives and targets and escalates as necessary. Conducts proactive trend analyses with best practice reviews. Fulfill costing requests from stakeholders in support of customer contract profitability analysis and maintains high level of knowledge and understanding of the fulfillment processes and key cost drivers that impact them. Promotes consistent implementation and use of corporate financial policies, processes, guidelines and tools to maintain integrity, safeguard corporate assets, and mitigate risk. Conducts financial evaluation and assessment of new business and/or customer opportunities and applies standard costs impact analysis and modeling techniques to evaluate and project benefits and risks. Investigates and analyzes processes and performance gaps to identify root cause insights of known gaps and reports (both verbal/written) on recommendations for performance improvement plans. The Finance Manager must meet the following mandatory requirements: Undergraduate degree in Accounting, finance, or a related field; 5+ years of relevant experience in the areas of Financial operation and reporting; 5+ years of experience working with Large-Scale financial operations; 5+ years of experience creating high-level financial reports and analysis; Relevant professional Designation Required (CPA, CMA, CGA); Strong presentation and communication skills; Bilingualism in French and English would be considered an asset; Experience with Tableau, / Power BI would be considered an asset;
