This is a full-time, 18 month contract role that will provide oversight and leadership to the planning and design of office and branch space, incorporating best practices and achieving corporate climate and accessibility goals. This exciting role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, in-person events or activities will be required of you. A typical day would involve: Plan the program of design (theme, interior, layout) for offices and branches, by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders so the premises meet business/user requirements, reflect the unique character of the local community, and are aligned with the retail and commercial service experience. Develop the design standards within established guidelines to ensure maximum utilization and flexibility while meeting all reasonable user requirements. Includes consideration of access and inclusion, environmental, and community engagement goals. Specify the quality of construction materials used at Vancity within established design guidelines, effectively balancing environmental impacts (maximum recycled content and recyclability) against business requirements (cost-effectiveness). Co-lead the development and maintenance of the strategy and approach to branch renewals and improvements, aligned with branch performance data and leasing timelines. Co-develop alternative branch delivery models, to align with the digital banking transformation and net-zero goals. Oversee the long-term office space plan, including forecasts of future needs and managing the overall distribution of staff among office space premises. Deliver on furniture to support workplace accommodations. Manage all office furniture maintenance related items. You have: 5+ years experience including supervisory experience and budget management. An undergraduate degree is preferred in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering. Professional registration is preferred. Technical experience with CAD is preferred. Salary: The salary range for the role is $91,000 to $136,400 and a candidates offer is likely to be up to the mid-point of the role ($113,700) . The upper half of the salary range is typically reserved for individuals who have demonstrated consistent strong performance in the role and possess a high level of job knowledge and skill.
