The General Manager will be leading a team of professionals while being responsible for the planning, organizing, developing, and directing of the overall operations of production units in accordance with company policies and procedures, current standards, guidelines, and regulations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Overseeing and managing production planning and scheduling Ensuring appropriate purchasing and safety requirements for all manufacturing/engineering equipment and supplies Managing quality assurance - setting quality standards, and maintaining quality Being responsible for manufacturing policy development, installation, and maintenance Managing the plant & equipment preventative maintenance program Ensuring ongoing process and manufacturing capability improvement Ensuring compliance with company needs for capital investments and improvement projects Reviewing analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecasting data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives Developing, reviewing, updating, and implementing business strategic planning including sales, financial performance, and new product development, emphasis on sales strategy planning, and dealer network growth. Overseeing manufacturing and materials departments, reviewing production and operating reports, resolving operational, manufacturing, and facility problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays, while meeting future growth Ensuring all personnel complies with training requirements, work standards, policies, and procedures More About You In order to qualify for this position, a minimum of 10 years of industry or manufacturing experience is required along with a post-secondary diploma or degree, and previous engineering experience is preferred. The General Manager should have fabrication and assembly experience, in addition to proven managerial and leadership ability, MBA is an asset.
