Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Tradefloor Support Analyst to join our IT team. In this role, you will provide technical support to end-users in a high-pressure trading floor environment, ensuring seamless operation of desktop systems, applications, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced financial services environment. Key Responsibilities: End-User Support: Provide hands-on support for traders and other end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues efficiently to minimize downtime. Tradefloor Equipment Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain desktops, monitors, docking stations, VoIP phones, and other peripherals specific to trading operations. Application Support: Troubleshoot and support trading and financial applications, ensuring functionality and quick recovery from disruptions. Incident Response: Manage and resolve incidents in a timely manner, escalating to higher levels of support when necessary, and documenting resolution processes. Technology Upgrades: Assist in deploying and upgrading hardware and software, ensuring compatibility with trading floor requirements. Collaboration: Liaise with infrastructure, application, and network teams to resolve complex issues and improve the end-user experience. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of support activities, including issue resolution, system configurations, and standard operating procedures. Compliance: Ensure compliance with IT security policies and standards, especially concerning the sensitive nature of financial trading environments. On-call Support: Provide occasional after-hours or weekend support for critical trading operations or system maintenance. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Experience: 3+ years of experience in desktop support, preferably within a tradefloor or financial services environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows OS, Active Directory, and MS Office Suite. Experience supporting financial applications such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or proprietary trading platforms. Knowledge of basic networking concepts and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Familiarity with Citrix environments and virtual desktops. Soft Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell). Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, or Microsoft certifications. Prior experience in supporting voice trading systems or telephony solutions.
