Compensation and benefits are highly competitive, exceeding industry standards.Position Overview:We are seeking an Experienced Commissioning Provider with a strong background in HVAC systems, familiarity with testing and balancing (TAB) processes, and experience in re-commissioning, building systems optimization, and energy management. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring mechanical and electrical systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in line with project design requirements. This position is based in Kelowna, BC, a city known for its balanced lifestyle, vibrant community, and outstanding outdoor recreational opportunities.Key Responsibilities:Lead and execute HVAC commissioning and re-commissioning projects, ensuring system performance aligns with design specifications.Conduct design reviews of mechanical and electrical systems to identify and resolve potential issues before installation.Develop commissioning plans, prefunctional checklists, and functional test procedures.Verify the operation of mechanical systems, including controls and sequences, against design requirements.Provide recommendations for building systems optimization and opportunities to improve energy efficiency and performance.Coordinate with testing and balancing (TAB) professionals to ensure proper airflow and hydronic balancing as part of the commissioning process.Prepare detailed commissioning reports, summarizing findings, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.Work closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure commissioning activities are executed effectively and professionally.Lead coordination and project meetings to track commissioning progress and resolve issues.Verify Direct Digital Control (DDC) sequences and oversee functional performance testing.Provide technical expertise in energy management and strategies to improve operational efficiency.Mentor junior staff and provide guidance in commissioning processes and industry best practices.Qualifications:Significant experience in HVAC commissioning, DDC, TAB, HVAC design, re-commissioning, or a related role.CEM- Certified Energy Manager Designation.Familiarity with testing and balancing (TAB) principles and processes (hands-on experience is an asset).Experience in building systems optimization and/or energy management is highly desirable.Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical/electrical systems, and DDC controls.Professional designation such as Professional Engineer, AScT, CCP, or equivalent (or the ability to achieve certification).Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.Proficiency in reviewing schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.Proficient in software tools such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and commissioning software.Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Compensation and Benefits:Salary Range: $70,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience).Extended medical and dental benefits.Matched RRSP contributions.Paid sick days.Company events and professional development opportunities.Yearly performance bonuses.Company VehicleHow to Apply:If you are an experienced commissioning professional with a background in re-commissioning, building systems optimization/design, and energy management, and familiarity with testing and balancing, we want to hear from you!
