The position requires the Contract Manager to report to the senior leadership on claims (upstream and downstream), subcontract management, reporting and monitoring changes against budgetsSenior Contracts Management:Manages and integrates work activities of staff to ensure compliance with corporate, contract, and legal requirementsLegal knowledge and the ability to communicate this to others appropriatelyAppropriate speed of contract draft turnaroundDirects all components of large scale assessment activities on assigned programs, including development, administration, and scoringProvides leadership and direction to resolve issues and challenges in program development and administrationParticipates in organizational strategic planning and financial planning activitiesCommunicates with leadership to share program updates, act in a consultative role, and provide input and guidance in setting policy and delivering on our contract commitmentsIs responsible for the professional development of assigned Educational Program Manager(s) to prepare them for the role of Senior Manager, Client ServicesThe provision of support to operations and business development staff in the review of invitations to tender and proposalsManage the proper coordination of various types of agreements and other contract/legal documents with other corporate functions, such as accounting, legal, taxExecute statutory and policy procurement-related requirements (FAR, DFARS, DoD 5000 series)Demonstrate a working knowledge of contents and application to the contracting process, preferably ACAT I programsDemonstrate a working knowledge of contents and application to the contracting process, preferably ACAT I programsDevelopment of contract strategies to incentivize industry performanceDevelop contract documents, to include Request for Proposals, Statements of Work, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN), DD-254s, Acquisition Plans, Source Selection Plans, Justifications & Approvals, and Determinations & FindingQualifications and Education Requirements:Accredited degree or equivalent in Business, Construction Management, or Business LawBusiness, Management, Law, Finance, Education, MBA, Administration, Business/Administration, Engineering, Government. AMWA, CPSM, PMP, ISO, DFARS, FAR, CRA, RAA, APICS, NCMAOver fifteen (15) years of contract management, subcontract administration, and procurement experience supporting construction projects and at least five (5) years of work experienceExperience developing negotiating contract terms and conditions specifically for contracts, construction, and professional services on a Lump Sum, Unit Price, and cost reimbursable basisStrong understanding of contracting principles and legal terms and conditionsExperience in accurately formulating multiple compensation structures including, but not limited to, reimbursable cost, lump sum, and unit priceStrong working knowledge of Contract or Construction LawKnowledge of Contract Management softwareDemonstrated strong and leadership skills with ability and desire to develop, mentor, and coach employeesExcellent oral and written communication skillsAttention to detail and self-motivatedExcellent negotiating, interpersonal, and communication skillsExcellent computer and software skills, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Lotus Notes, or OutlookPreferred SkillsStrong people leadership skills demonstrated by treating others with dignity and respect and fostering a culture of accountability and strong performance in a project management environment with matrixed reporting.Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and clients.Solid experience dealing with change management control.Work EnvironmentAt Webuild, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture that promotes gender equity and the recruitment of under-represented groups at all levels of our workforce.
