We are seeking a full time Estimator to provide support on multiple projects over the next three years (project size will differ). for our nuclear client The Estimator will be responsible to provide cost estimating support to enable better project management decision making on required cost, schedule, and risk mitigation plans to maintain project delivery as per the contracted job description. This is a an in-office position in New Brunswick, no remote work. Job Tasks and Responsibilities Prepares detailed estimate of project cost based on project scope provided by the Project Manager. Performing earned value analysis to support project management and executive reporting, including the development of improved processes for linking Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) costs and project schedules. Performs field visits to support estimates. Supports cost analyst in analyzing variances. Prepares updated project cost estimates as the project is further defined. Developing and maintaining project estimating procedures, guides, and templates that are aligned with NB Power and industry best practices. Participates in post-mortem review of the estimates and incorporates any recommendations into subsequent estimates. Mandatory Requirements University degree in Engineering OR an Engineering Technologist diploma. Minimum 5 years experience in an estimating function in capital construction projects. Detailed knowledge of estimating tools and databases. Experience in document creation and editing (Microsoft Office Products, including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel). Education and Experience Preferences Experience in excess of five (5) years experience in estimating function in capital construction projects. Knowledge of estimating tools and databases. Knowledge of document creation and editing (Microsoft Office Products, including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel).
