Job Description

Jim Pattison Developments (JPD) is the real estate division of the Jim Pattison Group of Companies (JPG). JPD is one of the largest privately held companies in Canada with total annual revenues of $15 billion across multiple industries including: automotive, advertising, media, agricultural equipment, food and beverage, entertainment, exporting, financial, real estate and distribution services.JPD (currently owns and manages over 300 income-generating properties in North America, totaling over 19 million square feet including 48 grocery-anchored shopping centres. In Western Canada, JPD is also active in the development of new projects consisting of multi-family condo and rental residential, industrial, self-storage and retail commercial. JPD also has plans to diversify the portfolio to include projects in other major centers across Canada. Your new roleReporting to the Vice President, Asset Management, the Real Estate Coordinator will be responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and general support to the Asset Management team. It requires a strong professional attitude, the ability to handle information of a confidential nature and will work with other departments of the company such as Legal, Finance, Development and Construction. Key duties include handling confidential administrative tasks, interacting with senior contacts, and supporting Asset and Property Management with updates and assessments. They provide administrative support to senior management, coordinate real estate contracts, and prepare various documents. The role also involves maintaining filing systems, planning meetings and events, collaborating on lease negotiations, and assisting with lease renewals. Additionally, they support the development of shopping centers, ensure properties meet operational goals, assist with budgets and financial tracking, and coordinate projects. General office administration is key to this role.What you need to succeedThe ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in real estate or a related field, with strong fundamentals and interpersonal skills. They excel at multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced team environment, and possess strong organizational, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. Advanced proficiency in MS, along with knowledge of Yardi property management software and lease administration, are valuable assets. Previous administrative experience in real estate or development is preferred, and a strong passion for real estate and career growth within the organization is essential.What you get in returnIn recognition of your dedication and effort, you will receive a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $65,000-$75,000 (depending on experience), three weeks of vacation, an extended health package, RRSP matching, and a hybrid working model.
