Position Details: FBC is seeking a Director of Outreach to join our church ministry team, be accountable to the elders board through the lead pastor and report directly to the lead pastor or his designate. Preference will be given to candidates with a heart and passion to connect with the unchurched in the surrounding community, including a heart and vision for running a Christian camp program. Duties and Responsibilities: The Director of Outreach shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Executive Pastor, including but not restricted to the following: Conduct oneself in a manner appropriate for an individual who represents Christs Church to the community and to the world. Deal tactfully with fellow staff members, ministry leaders, volunteers, members, adherents, visitors, and the public. Contribute to the continual improvement of FBC ministries and operations. Develop ministry goals, objectives, and strategies for the ministry year, aligned with the Church Mission & Vision. Develop annual ministry area budgets for both Outreach and Camp in conjunction with the Executive Pastor. Community Outreach: Coordinate community outreach/service activities. Oversee benevolent ministries. Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers to support ministry. Evaluate, develop, and cast vision for ministry areas aligned with the Churchs Mission and Vision. Camp: Plan the camping programs well in advance of the summer. Recruit and hire staff to operate the camp program. Provide leadership training and development for camp staff.
