Campari Group is today the sixth-largest player worldwide in the premium spirits industry.General Description of the RoleThe Assistant Brand Manager will drive the performance of the brand/s and the portfolio. Working alongside the Snr/Brand Manager, this position will support with brand ownership and play a critical role in the development and execution of the Annual Brand Plans achieving brand objectives (volume, share, CAAP and consumer KPIs including brand purchase funnel).Key Responsibilities and ActivitiesSupporting development of brand strategy & Implementation of Brand Plans alongside the SBMAccountable to deliver the brand portfolios day to day operational activities including monitoring the portfolio performance on a regular basis (Monthly/Quarterly)Co-lead with the SBM/BM a collaborative partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure key priorities are deliveredDevelop agency briefs for all elements of the marketing mix and day to day agency management; media, digital, owned channels, packaging, consumer promotionsConduct regular trade visits to ensure execution on shelf, plannograms, pricing and visibility of brandWork with cross functional team to ensure through-the-line execution of brand initiatives and consistency of message across all branded touchpoints, including:Input into BTL messaging to ensure campaign consistency in on and off premiseDevelopment of through the line campaignsDevelopment of promotional mechanics and giveawaysWork with experiential team for major brand activationsGo-to-market Market and innovation meetingsGlobal marketing team relationships with localisation of campaigns.A&P Budget management for the brand portfolio, including creation of POs and processing invoicesNew Product Development management of toll gate processAction any adhoc key projects as requested by the SBMAssist in the development and implementation of brand and marketing activities such as:Develop best in class digital programs and lead the executionsCRM and eDM managementWebsite updatesAsset management for campaign implementation OOH, social etcCo-ordination of advertising, PR and trade marketing promotional activitiesSales and market analysisPost activity reviews and evaluationsGeneral marketing administrative duties as requested by the SBMAdhoc partnership opportunities supportBecome a brand expert brand, consumer, category and competitor performance analysis and recommendationsKey RelationshipsInternal: Experiential, Digital, Insights, Customer Marketing Teams, Commercial Teams, Supply chain, FinanceExternal: Media, PR, Social and activation agenciesQualifications, Experience & SkillsBusiness acumen, understand commercial impact of marketing and not just executionBusiness or marketing related degree or equivalent professional qualification essentialMinimum of 12 months marketing experience in Australia, as a Marketing Assistant or Assistant Brand ManagerLiquor industry, FMCG or agency experience preferredIntermediate to advanced level of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint)Experience of working with IRI an advantageProven experience in marketing and brand managementStrong communication skillsProject management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholdersHigh self-motivation, energy and a bias for action through initiative and working autonomouslyWell organised can handle competing priorities and meet deadlinesAn innovative mindset, creative flair and passionStrong analytical, thinking and problem solving skillsFunctional CompetenciesStrategic leadership: demonstrating effective stakeholder management and understanding of the broader business context.
