There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Manager to be actively involved in setting the strategic direction of the firm and working with the board to drive culture and growth.You will be responsible for managing the case origination (sales), legal, financial and HR aspects of Goodman Spring via a highly skilled team of professionals with the support of an experienced Board.You will ensure excellence in the provision of legal services to plaintiffs by providing supervision, legal coaching and mentoring to legal staff, whilst promoting the expeditious access to justice for those who suffer injury or loss because of the fault of others.RESPONSIBILITIESTo be the Legal Practitioner Director for the firm.Ensure that the firm achieves its financial and strategic objectives.Strategically analyse matter lists, WIP reports and other data to drive performance to ensure quality and timely outcomes are achieved for clients.Report on and interpret financial reporting and performance measures.Chair case review meetings with staff to ensure files are progressed in a timely manner toward achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.Play a coaching and mentoring role to staff by working with them on cases and troubleshooting.Conduct file reviews and provide advice and guidance on complex legal cases, top end cases, cases approaching trial and any other cases considered appropriate.Ensure that staff are adequately trained in the use of the case management system and that file maintenance of matters is consistent and well organised.Ensure that the firm is adequately staffed to provide high quality legal services to clients.Ensure that staff are properly trained and supervised in relation to case selection and progression, to ensure solid recoverability for the firm.Strategically analyse new client data to ensure that the firm delivers on its new client goals.Build relationships with external stakeholders to continually improve and lift the profile and reputation of the firm.Play a leadership role in enhancing the culture of the firm and building a strong team, with a focus on building a client centric culture.Ensure complaints are handled in accordance with the firms complaints policy with a focus on early resolution.REQUIREMENTSBachelor of Laws or equivalentAdmission as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South WalesCurrent Practising CertificatePractice Management CertificatePrevious management and leadership experienceSuitable candidates without a Practice Management Certificate are invited to applyIRO Accredited*Applications close on 30 April 2025.*How do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.To help fast track investigation, please include here any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent / misleading / discriminatory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
