It provides peace of mind for every Australian.About the areaPartners, Providers and Home and Living Group is working to ensure the NDIS market is performing well. The NDIS market is the broader ecosystem that allows participants funding to be translated into tangible supports. Its a crucial part of the Scheme''s design. The Group is comprised of three divisions: Partners and Providers, Home and Living and Markets.The Markets Division brings together critical elements of market stewardship including developing the NDIS market stewardship framework, trialling innovative market intervention approaches, and establishing the price limits and pricing arrangements shaping market performance. This Division is responsible for designing and implementing market coordination activities to improve outcomes for Providers, participants and the performance of the Scheme. This Division is also responsible for setting the strategic direction for NDIAs pricing policy, and capacity building market segments which includes assistive technology, employment and social and community participation.About the roleThe General Manager, Markets is an SES Band 2 position, reporting to the Deputy CEO, Partners, Providers and Home and Living Group. The General Manager has five direct reports, and responsibility for a division of approximately 85 staff located across various locations. This role is ideally performed from Geelong or Richmond, VIC; Deakin, ACT or Adelaide, SA.This role is accountable for:Designing, developing and implementing innovative assistive technology solutions considering international best practice.Facilitating change in the employment market and influencing innovation in employment for people with disability.Actively stewarding and influencing the market and drive market change and innovation through information, data sharing and direct engagement.Developing strategic policy and practice guidance about when, where and how to intervene with market coordination activities.Monitoring, analysing and reporting on market trends, including identification of areas of market weakness that require intervention or trends relating to participants entering crisis due to a breakdown of disability related supports.Providing pricing approaches in response to market mechanisms and broader economic conditions, balancing the needs of participants, providers, and the broader sector.Supporting the NDIA by managing pricing policy, setting price limits and pricing arrangements for NDIS supports and ensuring this meets demand.About youThis role is ideal for a leader with a passion for equity, justice and wellbeing of people with disability. To perform this role, experience leading an economics function and an economics qualification is required.
