A career opportunity exists to step into the full-time role as Centre Director at Elanora Long Day Care. A 60-place Centre catering from birth to seven years, Elanora was established in 1977 as Devonports first purpose built child care centre. At Elanora, we take pride in putting families and children first, we are inclusive with a motivated and inspired team of dedicated educators.Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation of the Centre, in line with legislative requirements and organisational policies and procedures.Lead, mentor and support educators in delivering the best possible outcomes for children.Foster strong relationships with parents and families, promoting open communication and collaboration with a child centric focus.Oversee and guide quality curriculum and pedagogical practices, with sound knowledge of the relevant frameworks.Engage with local communities and build strong relationships with surrounding networks.Qualifications and ExperienceThe successful candidate will have an Early Childhood Teaching qualification or Diploma in Childrens Services.A thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework, ELYF and relevant frameworks and legislation.Sound knowledge of child safeguarding and the national principles for child safe organisations.Preferred experience in a director or 2IC role.Sound knowledge of QIP and the A & R process.Sound knowledge of child development and early education practices.Knowledge and experience with StoryPark, Easy Employer and/or XAP (or similar 3rd party software).Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration.Have or be willing to obtain First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates.Selection CriteriaProven leadership experience in an early learning setting and supporting staff development.Proven knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative and policy framework.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Proven experience in utilising technology and relevant applications.Above award wages5 weeks annual leave per annumMonthly rostered day off50% Early Learning DiscountPaid Professional DevelopmentHealth and Wellbeing support and access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Full time administrative supportExperienced leadership support teamFirst Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificationUniform providedSend your application, including cover letter, response to selection criteria and resume to [emailprotected]How do your skills match this job?Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years'' experience do you have as a centre director?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of the National Quality Framework?Do you have experience working with children?Do you have experience in administration?Have you completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care?Do you have a current Working With Children (WWC) Check?Which of the following First Aid accreditations do you currently hold?To help fast track investigation, please include here any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent / misleading / discriminatory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
