We contribute to the Commissions strategic vision where older Australians trust and have confidence that aged care services protect and enhance their safety, health, well-being and quality of life. We aim to improve provider practices or consumer behaviours on a wide scale to drive improvements in consumer outcomes. We work closely with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop, implement and evaluate risk treatment interventions, ensuring a whole-of-commission response to priority sector-level risks. The Campaigns team approaches sector-level problems with creativity and energy.About the RoleWe are seeking collaborative, agile thinking, results driven professionals to support risk treatment managers for regulatory campaigns. This work is focused on identifying, preventing and responding to sector level risks for people receiving aged care. These are busy and dynamic roles involving secretariat functions, project management and stakeholder engagement. Our work is exciting, complex and sensitive with real impacts on the safety and wellbeing of older people receiving care.Position DutiesWork with the Assistant Director in designing and delivering projects to reduce risk of harms in aged care to:Improve and support the capability of aged care providers.Help consumers understand and exercise their rights and expectations with respect to their care provider.Build and maintain engagement with internal and external stakeholders.Provide secretariat support to working groups and committees, including coordinating and scheduling meetings, preparation of agendas, drafting of minutes, capturing and progressing action items related to project aims and objectives.Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria):To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. This includes experience in preparing high quality written material, including responses, talking points and other reporting requirements.Experience managing competing priorities to deliver agreed outcomes with a high level of attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to identify and respond appropriately to risk, including escalation of risks to supervisor and section Director as required.Ability to work independently, with limited instruction, to deliver quality outcomes under strict timeframes (time management, organisation, multi-tasking).Position Notes:Salary offered will be between $96,503 - $108,869 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.Only candidates who hold Australian citizenship can apply. Appointment is conditional on successfully completing a national police check.
