Forklift Operator/Machine OffsiderGlendenning locationInitial Monday to Friday, Moving to 3 x 12 hour shifts once trained.Immediate interview and start.Now Careers is partnered with a metal and plastic packaging specialist, based in Western Sydney who are looking to add a forklift operator/machine offsider to their team. This position would be well suited to a recently certified operator as the duties will be split between forklift and machine operating.ABOUT THE ROLEThis is a hybrid role where you will split your time between learning and assisting machine operators and also operating forklifts to load/unload materials safely and efficiently.What we are offering:$33p/hMonday - Friday (changing to 3 x 12 hour days once trained).Overtime available.Immediate start with ongoing work.Temp to perm opportunity.Ongoing training and support in your role.Great team culture.Responsibilities:Perform manual handling of tinplate and stillage boards - up to 12kg.Assist with machine operation in a fast paced environment.Safely operate forklifts in warehouse environment.Assist with machine wash-ups using solvents and inks.Maintain good housekeeping practices in all work areas.Work within a team to ensure completion of all jobs on time.What we are looking for:Reliability and punctuality for all shifts.Experience working in a fast paced environment.Forklift and machine operating experience.Forklift licence.Positive attitude and strong work ethic.Ability to work well within a team and unsupervised when required.Clear verbal and written communication.Full working rights.To be considered for the role, you will attend an interview in Glendenning, followed by a medical at one of our preferred occupational medical partners.
