The Casino Food Co-op is a leading export food processor with production facilities located in Casino and Booyong, near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers area of the NSW Far North Coast.We are looking for a highly motivated WHS Coordinator to join our Workplace Health & Safety team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the WHS Manager, the role will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture across our business.The duties of this role will include, but are not limited to:Plan, organise and conduct regular safety meetings and WHS processes, including WHS Committee meetings.Extract, interpret, and present WHS statistics to support team activities and reporting.Monitoring activities of the Safety Officer to ensure that the required WHS monitoring, measurement and record/statistic keeping is carried out effectively.Provide guidance and assistance to WHS Officer as required.Review Work Health Safety and Environmental Management System (WHSEMS) documents for required amendments.Provide specialist advice and assistance to all company personnel on effective health, safety, and training practices.Aid in safety training initiatives, including onboarding of new staff.Lead detailed incident investigations and identifying suitable corrective actions.Implement Risk Management practices and support the review of Work Instructions.The ideal candidate will possess the following:Certificate IV in WHS or related discipline would be highly regarded.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable, but not essential for the role.Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety Regulations, Codes of Practice and associated standards.A passion for building a safety culture and the ability to implement and influence change.Computer literacy, with the ability to learn new systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels and impart knowledge through training.Strong attention to detail, proven initiative, solid problem-solving skills, ability to work autonomously, working under pressure and as part of a team.In exchange for your commitment towards this role, we will offer you full support to grow your existing knowledge within Work, Health and Safety.
