Cadia produces gold dor bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The Jumbo Operator may also carry out additional tasks such as mine services work, charge-up, bogging, service checks, minor maintenance, and supervisor relief, as required.A few key deliverables include, but not limited to:Carrying out additional tasks including mine services work, charge up, bogging or service checks.Demonstrating a strong health and safety attitude in the workplace, aligning with Newcrests safety culture, values and behaviours.To be considered, applicants will ideally need the following skills and experience:Previous experience operating jumbo drilling rigs.Sound knowledge of underground metalliferous mining.Proven experience in bogging, loading or charge up.Effective communication and problem-solving skills.NSW Supervisor ticket (desirable).NSW Manual Drivers Licence.You will possess a passion and drive to ensure high safety standards, be team oriented, as demonstrated by your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Please note: You will be required to work a 7 days on/7 off roster (12-hours per day, Thursday Wednesday, day & night rotation).At Newmont, our commitment to diversity and inclusion ensures that everyone can work to their full potential, free from discrimination, while respecting the cultures, religions, and governance of the regions in which we operate.
