We seek a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Director to join our dynamic team, driving HR strategies aligned with our vision and empowering educators to make a lasting impact.OverviewAs HR Director, you will lead HR functionspayroll, business partnering, and talent acquisitionaligning workforce strategy with organisational goals. Youll drive HR operations, ER/IR, and WHS/RTW initiatives, ensuring compliance with Modern Awards and fostering an engaged workforce. Early Childhood Education experience is required to navigate sector-specific dynamics and regulations. This full-time, on-site role demands strategic leadership to enhance culture, capability, and success in our Early Childhood-focused mission.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR LeadershipPartner Strategically with senior leadership, center directors, and other stakeholders to align HR strategies with business objectives.Lead Policy Development and implementation initiatives in line with organisational goals, Fair Work regulations, and industry best practices.Analyse Organisational Needs and develop solutions to address workforce challenges, operational efficiency, and employee engagement.Ensure Continuous Improvement by regularly reviewing and updating HR policies to reflect best practices, legal compliance, and organisational growth.HR Services, Employee Relations, and CultureDevelop Policies and manage conflict resolution with fairness and transparency.Support Leadership in resolving workplace disputes and grievances.Oversee Performance Management, Change Initiatives, and Capability Development to strengthen employee retention and team effectiveness.Cultivate Workplace Culture by promoting respect, open communication, and alignment with organisational values.Ensure Compliance with industry-specific regulations and the Fair Work Act, making necessary policy and process updates.Train Managers on employment laws, workplace practices, and compliance to enhance people management skills.Drive Continuous Improvement in HR processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.HR Administration & PayrollMaintain Accurate Employee Records and ensure regulatory compliance through data integrity in all HR systems.Oversee HR Processes such as onboarding, employment contracts, and changes in employee status, leveraging the HRIS for data-driven decision-making.Lead Payroll Operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing in full compliance with relevant legislative requirements.Monitor HR Metrics to provide insights and recommendations for workforce improvements.Support Talent Acquisition to attract and retain top talent.Lead Workforce and Succession Planning with targeted retention programs designed to nurture and develop internal capabilities.Manage Ad-hoc HR Projects that support organisational expansion, wellness initiatives, and other strategic priorities.HR Business Partner (HRBP) ResponsibilitiesAct as a Trusted Advisor to center directors and department heads, providing proactive HR guidance and business-focused solutions.Align HR Strategies with specific operational needs, fostering a people-centric approach to drive organisational success.Facilitate Organisational Development by identifying talent gaps and designing programs to enhance leadership and team effectiveness.Implement Best Practices in performance management, succession planning, and cultural initiatives to support a high-performance environment.Work Health and Safety (WHS)Champion Safe ER Practices aligned with organisational policies, ensuring a proactive approach to WHS.Identify and Mitigate Risks through hazard reporting, risk assessments, and relevant safety strategies.Oversee Workers Compensation Cases and collaborate on proactive return-to-work initiatives.Participate in WHS Audits including incident investigations, inspections, and safety committee activities.Promote a Safety-First Culture by coordinating awareness programs and continuous WHS improvements.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelors degree in HR, Business, or a related field.5+ years experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a strategic leadership role.Experience in Early Childhood Education is essential to address sector-specific workforce and regulatory needs.Strong familiarity with interpreting Modern Awards, with in-depth knowledge of Fair Work regulations, Australian labour laws, and HR best practices.Demonstrated success in managing ER/IR, payroll operations, HR systems, workforce planning, talent acquisition, and change initiatives.WHS and RTW knowledge;
