About the Company:ConsultANZ is looking for a Commercial Manager for a leading end-to-end construction and commissioning specialist. The company combines Irish, Australian, and American expertise to successfully deliver complex energy and infrastructure projects across global markets. Known for its commitment to operational excellence and innovative project delivery, the business is expanding its commercial leadership team to support a growing portfolio of work in Australia.About the Role:As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the successful negotiation, implementation, and administration of contracts. This role plays a key part in managing risk, driving financial performance, and ensuring all commercial arrangements align with company goals. Youll act as a trusted advisor to both internal and external stakeholders while overseeing the full contract lifecycle across multiple projects.Key Responsibilities:Draft, analyze, negotiate, and finalize contracts with clients and suppliers, ensuring alignment with company governance frameworks.Oversee the complete contract lifecycle, from initial negotiation through delivery, dispute resolution, variations, and claims.Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance on maintaining and managing rate books and associated cost build-ups.Identify commercial and project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.Act as the central point of contact for all contract-related matters, providing regular updates on commercial performance to internal teams and clients.Ensure full compliance with corporate policies and Australian statutory requirements.Manage the resolution of contract issues and escalate when necessary.Maintain accurate records of contract communications, documentation, and agreements.Key Skills & Experience:Proven experience in negotiating and managing complex contracts within the construction industry.Strong knowledge of Australian Contract Law, construction legislation, and legal principles.High-level financial literacy and analytical capability able to interpret data and optimize commercial decisions.Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.Demonstrated ability to assess and mitigate risk in project and contract delivery.Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.Qualifications:A relevant Bachelors degree (Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business, Engineering, or Law).Prior experience in commercial contract management in the Australian construction or infrastructure sector is essential.Minimum 7+ years of experience working in the construction industry.Strong financial and business acumen and excellent negotiation and communication skills.Strong analytical skills should be able to analyze financial data, market trends, and project costs.Must be effective leaders with the ability to motivate and manage teams of professionals.Proficient in using relevant software and technology, such as project management, accounting, and Microsoft Office.Benefits$200- $240k base + super (negotiable dependent on the level of experience)Opportunity to work on high-profile energy and infrastructure projects.Join a globally connected and fast-growing company with a strong local presence.Career development in a supportive and innovative environment.APPLY NOW if interested or email claire.yang@consultanz.com.au to hear more about this opportunity. #J-18808-Ljbffr
