Please include "Pastry Cook [Your Name]" in the subject line of your email.BenefitsCompetitive salaryOpportunities for growth and career advancementTask & ResponsibilitiesThe main duties of the role include, but are not limited to:Preparing a wide range of specialty pastries, including vegan, egg-free, and gluten-free cakes, using traditional and contemporary baking techniques.Measuring and combining ingredients accurately to produce consistent doughs, batters, and fillings for cakes and pastries.Baking cakes, pastries, and other baked goods at precise temperatures and times to ensure high-quality results.Decorating and finishing cakes and pastries using icing, glazes, creams, chocolate, and other decorative elements to create visually appealing products.Monitoring and adjusting baking processes and oven settings to ensure products are baked to specification.Following strict food safety and hygiene procedures during all stages of preparation, handling, and storage.Maintaining correct storage temperatures and conditions for raw ingredients, doughs, and finished products.Regularly inspecting raw materials and finished baked goods to ensure they meet established quality standards.Operating and maintaining a variety of commercial baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, proofers, and decorating tools.Keeping the pastry section clean, sanitised, and well-organised in compliance with food safety regulations.Preparing pastries and cakes based on daily production schedules and customer demands.Applying glazes, icings, and garnishes to pastries to enhance flavour and presentation.Qualification & ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery.Proven experience as a Pastry Cook, Baker, or in a similar role.Expertise in crafting egg-free, vegan, and gluten-free cakes and pastries.Strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent attention to detail and creativity.About CompanyMuch like a seed planted and nurtured into growth, our company began as an idea born out of a passion for promoting a healthy lifestyle.
