Due to our continued growth and expansion, we have an excellent opportunity for aService Locator to join our utility team inSydney.About the job: This role is for our ever growing Locate, Scan and Survey team. You will be joining an experienced team working on diverse small to medium field projects. The role involves locating a range of underground utility services using various GPRs and EMF Locators.Whilst experience in the field would be highly regarded, it is not essential as we offer extensive training and career progression. This role is suited for those seeking a career change.Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct Field work in challenging environmentsUse specialised equipment to locate underground utilities Electromagnetic Locator, Ground Penetrating Radar and Concrete Scanner.Mark the location of utilities using paint, Flags and or other markers.Collection of coordinates and levels using differential global positioning system equipmentInterpret utility maps and drawings to identify potential conflictsCommunicate with contractors and project managers about potential utility conflictsFollow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environmentRequirement:White Card (Occupational Health & Safety Construction Induction)A valid Drivers License and willingness to travel as requiredFlexibility to work on night shifts and weekends as requiredThe ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints and drawingsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsOnce trained, have the ability to work alone with minimal supervision.Preferred but not required experience:Experience in subsurface utility location and mappingDial Before You Dig accreditationTelstra and Optus accreditedExperience using EM Locators, Sondes and Ground Penetrating RadarsAbility to read DBYD plansExperience working to AS 5488:2019Previous experience in GPS Positioning/Surveying will be an advantage but not essentialThe remuneration package will be based on your level of experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
