Data AnalystJoin a team thats passionate about data driven insights and real-world impact!Full-Time (35hpw) temporary opportunity until 30 June 2026, with the potential for ongoing employmentSalary range starting from $110,266 pa + superParramatta location with hybrid workingAbout the role:Were looking for a Data Analyst with practical experience in a commercial or government environment to join our Compliance Assurance team. In this role, youll work with large and complex datasets, extracting insights that drive decision-making and enhance customer experiences. Youll play a key role in identifying revenue opportunities, improving processes, and supporting strategic initiatives.What youll be doing:Analysing large, disparate datasets to uncover trends and business opportunitiesDeveloping reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Tableau or Power BIUsing SQL and PySpark (essential), along with R, Python, KNIME, or RedPoint DM to process and analyse dataSupporting continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insightsFostering effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality data-driven solutionsWhat were looking for:Practical experience in a commercial or government environment, working with large datasetsAdvanced conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and uncover insightsProficiency in SQL and PySpark (essential)Experience in R, Python, KNIME, RedPoint DM, Tableau, or Power BI is also desirableExcellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and collaborate effectively with stakeholdersA degree in analytics, data science, or a related field or equivalent hands-on experienceWhat we need from you:Your application should include an up-to-date CV (no more than 5 pages), a brief one-page cover letter outlining how your skills and experience are aligned to the role.You also need to respond to the following two targeted questions:Describe a project or task where you used PySpark in a professional setting.
