Youll be required to carry out certain duties including but not limited to:maintenance of established pavementsconstruction of new or enhanced pavementswidening of existing pavements to improve safetyinstallation of drainage and other road related ancillariesestablishment and maintenance of roadside fixtures and signageapplication of road marking materialsapplication of bituminous sealing materialsPlant Operators are provided with training and opportunities to develop professionally.About youWere seeking a team player and knowledgeable plant operator who is experienced in safe and efficient operations of road construction and maintenance equipment.Youll be confident, and highly capable operating major plant including (but not limited to) Backhoe, Excavator, Roller and Skid Steer and have proven experience rectifying simple hazards without direction and reporting them accordingly.You must hold the following qualifications and set of skills:White CardRelevant demonstrated competencies in plant or, alternatively, tickets of competency.Labouring experience in a construction or civil environment.Whilst not essential, a Medium Rigid / Heavy Rigid truck license would be highly desirable attributes for applicants.You will be willing to work outside normal working hours, attend after hour call-outs, and must be prepared to travel throughout the state and work at locations away from the base station.Who we areTransport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
