As part of our Junior School, Kindle is committed to offering a supportive and enriching experience for young learners and their families.About the RoleWe are seeking a Kindle Cook to join our team on a part-time basis. The role is pivotal in providing nutritious, culturally inclusive meals for children in our care, ensuring health and safety standards are upheld, and supporting the smooth running of the Kindle kitchen.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and prepare nutritionally balanced and culturally diverse meals for children aged six weeks to 5 years.Collaborate with Nutrition Australia and the Kindle Kitchen Team to create menus.Manage food ordering within the allocated budget.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including routine cleaning of dishes, kitchen, and appliances.Be mindful of dietary requirements and allergies, adjusting meal plans accordingly.Support the Kindle Kitchen Team to maintain an efficient and safe kitchen environment.Participate in staff meetings, appraisals, and professional development.About YouEssential:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong planning and organisational abilities.Competence with technology.Professional demeanor with a commitment to confidentiality.Right to work in Australia.Understanding of and adherence to Victorian Child Safe Standards.Ability to work positively with children aged 0-6 years.Current Working with Children''s Check.Desirable:Certificate in Cookery.Certificate in Food Handlers Hygiene for Food Handlers and Supervisors.Experience working in a similar role or environment.What We OfferA collaborative and supportive team environment.The opportunity to contribute to a leading early learning program.Access to professional development opportunities.MLCs Commitment to Child SafetyMLC is dedicated to the safety and well-being of all children and has zero tolerance for child abuse.
