The firmStevens Family Law & Mediation is a boutique family law firm based in Newcastle, specialising exclusively in family law matters. We assist clients with all aspects of family law separation, in a professional and empathetic way.Our practice also facilitates mediations, with director Ashley Stevens being a nationally accredited mediator.The roleThis role involves supporting two experienced family law solicitors, director and Family Law Accredited Specialist Ashley Stevens, and solicitor Hannah Chandler, who has been with Stevens Family Law & Mediation since August 2022. The role is face to face in our Newcastle office.Our office is busy and dynamic, whilst also providing a supportive and friendly environment for staff and clients alike. Being a small firm, we value staff who have a ''can do'' attitude, and an ability to show initiative to own tasks and complete them to the best of your ability.The role is a hybrid role of reception and legal secretary, so the tasks are varied and interesting. Your usual day will involve:answering and directing callstaking new enquiriesmaking appointments and diary managementconducting conflict checks and opening filespreparing and sending legal correspondencedrafting basic Court documents such as Notices of Request to Inspectfiling documents on the Courts Portalservice of documentsliaising with other support staff, solicitors, barristers and stakeholderspreparing briefs for counselpreparing tender bundlesfiling and document managementgeneral office duties including greeting clients for appointments and mediations.We are seeking a competent, mature and reliable team member with a positive attitude.
