Trading under The Better Food Distribution Co (NSW & QLD) and The Forage Company (VIC), we represent and distribute more than 30 premium food and beverage brands, including Remedy, Fever Tree, Tony Chocolonely, Proper Crisps, and Funday across the Eastern Seaboard.About the RoleDue to an internal promotion, were on the hunt for a National Field Sales Manager to lead a team of 33, including State Managers, Field Representatives, and Merchandisers. Youll be responsible for driving a cohesive field strategy that delivers on commercial targets across Independent Retail, Corporate, Cafs, Foodservice, and non-traditional retail channels.Reporting to the General Manager Asia & Distribution, this role champions continuous improvement, revenue growth, key account management, and excellence in field execution. As the head of field sales, the National Field Sales Manager brings a strategic lens to all business activities, leads and develops state-based managers and field teams, and ensures optimal structures and processes are in place.This role is based in our Cremorne (VIC) office, with travel required, including interstate.What will some of your day-to-day responsibilities look like?Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, including three State Managers, a Key Account Executive, and a broader field sales team of 30. Oversee recruitment, performance management, and career development.Sales Strategy & Execution Develop and implement national sales strategies, drive revenue growth, oversee key negotiations, and optimize sales processes.Stakeholder & Relationship Management Act as the key liaison between internal teams, external customers, and suppliers, ensuring seamless execution of sales initiatives.Performance & Insights Utilize CRM data to track sales, optimize strategies, and provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.Safety First Ensure compliance with OH&S standards, develop safe work systems, and promote a strong safety culture.Product & Market Expertise Train and equip the sales team with in-depth product knowledge and market insights to maximize opportunities.Field Communications & Market Monitoring Lead sales communications, oversee field execution, and adjust strategies based on market conditions.The TalentIdeally, youve navigated the fast-paced world of FMCG in a Senior Sales or Field Leadership role (bonus points if youve worked in Grocery or Independent channels!).
