Reporting to the HR Business Partnering Lead for the Rolling Stock & Components Product Line, you will be the HR site lead for complex IR/ER matters including but not limited to; supporting the site with shift rosters, supporting enterprise bargaining negotiations and leading site through transformational change. Your role will focus on enhancing workplace culture and equipping leaders, managers, supervisors, and team leaders with essential skills in employment law and corporate governance.As a HR Manager, youll:Come with the natural ability to connect well with stakeholders and build trusting relationshipsBe an experienced HR professional who is comfortable supporting Enterprise Bargaining negotiationsProvide coaching, development, and support to one direct reportSupport and coach managers in performance improvement and performance management discussionsLead investigations and resolution of complex IR/ER issuesProvide ongoing governance training to managers, supervisors, and team leaders on employment law and ''respect at work'' to enhance confidence in this areaWork with key management personnel to improve the cascade of site communicationComfortable working with unionsOffer IR/ER advice, including interpreting legislation, contracts, awards, and policiesSupport site change management and HR projects with IR/ER focus in mindManage inbound and outbound expatriates in collaboration with the mobility team, including visa supportPerform day-to-day generalist HR activitiesSupport the Performance Management Cycle, including reviews, salary adjustments, objective setting, and succession planningAssist with Ballarat-related Compensation & Benefits activitiesProvide reporting and data expertise for your area of responsibility to support business justification and positioningAll about you:Hold a tertiary degree in a related fieldPossess significant experience in employment/labour law, gained through either HR or ER/IR rolesDemonstrate excellent negotiation and influencing skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and customersHave proven experience and feel comfortable working in a complex industrial environmentPossess comprehensive knowledge of industrial relations principles and practices, and their impact on business performanceHave experience and confidence supporting Enterprise Agreement (EA) negotiations, collaborating closely with employee union delegates and unionsDemonstrate generalist HR experience covering all areas of HR management practice within a matrix organisational structureComfortable to work in a fast-paced environment that can be ambiguous at timesBe a proactive subject matter expert (SME) in IR/ER - enthusiastic about culture changeAble to articulate views and advice clearly to a broad range of individualsThings Youll Enjoy:Competitive salary and benefits package.Flexible working options and additional leave days.Opportunity to purchase additional annual leave and novated leasing schemes.Comprehensive development programs and award-winning learning opportunities.Stability, challenges, and a long-term career path with opportunities for growth across a global industry leader.Comprehensive social coverage (life, salary continuance, medical).Important to note:As a global business, we''re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 70+ countries we operate in.
