We''re looking for a passionate and reliable Kitchen Hand to join our vibrant Devonport Cafe kitchen!As part of our Cafe Kitchen team, you''ll assist with cleaning, prepping and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. You''ll work closely with our culinary team to maintain the high standards and exceptional experience we are known for!What you''ll do:Assist with food preparation, including chopping, prepping and assisting with the cooking processHelp maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipmentSupport the cafe team in ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently and in line with food safety standardsHelp to manage stock levels by ensuring ingredients are stored correctly and assist with waste controlAssist with the production of baked goods, sandwiches, salads and other menu itemsWhat you''ll need:A love for food and working in a fast-paced kitchen environmentEnergy, initiative and willingness to take directionStrong attention to detailExperience in a busy kitchen is highly regarded, but not essentialThe ability to follow company procedures and regulations, particularly regarding food handling and workplace health and safetyDay-time availability (7am - 3.30pm) is essential, this will include weekdays and alternate weekends.Physical fitness for lifting and standing.At Hill Street, we bring happiness through great food and are passionate about giving exceptional customer service.
