We are an 11 Theatre, 189 bed acute private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park.Newcastle Private provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of treatment and care across our Same-day and inpatient stay facilities.As a Chef your responsibilities will include:Provide exceptional customer/patient service by preparing nutritious food in a timely manner, ensuring the cleanliness of kitchens and food preparation, disposing of unused food appropriately, and ordering food supplies.Demonstrate cost-effectiveness by using produce effectively and managing waste.Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a positive team culture, supervising and providing guidance to kitchen staff, and liaising with dieticians and other staff to create an experience that makes a difference.Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscopes policies and processes, code of conduct and by participating in yearly performance appraisals and mandatory education. Maintain skills and standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.Support Healthscopes safety and quality improvement and achievement of accreditation by actively participating in team meetings, quality and audit activities, and ensuring compliance with and participation in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.Minimum Requirements:Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.Good working knowledge and understanding of HACCP regulations.Available for shifts over a 7-day roster including weekend work.Previous experience as a chef in a busy restaurant, club, hospital, or hotel food service environment is preferred.Strong culinary skills and a passion for delivering high-quality meals.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.A mindset focused on enhancing the dining experience-less hospital more hospitality.If youre passionate about great food and creating a welcoming dining experience, wed love to hear from you!To Apply: Please click on the ''Apply'' button to be taken to our online application form.
