And now, were seeking talented and passionate individuals to join our team.THE ROLEThe GM of People & Culture leads the People team in designing, delivering, and executing strategies that drive business growth. By balancing both strategic vision and operational execution, this role plays a key part in shaping the employee experience.As a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, the GM of People & Culture continuously evolves the People function, ensuring a positive impact across all employee touchpoints whilst aligning with and supporting the overall business strategy.Reporting into the Chief Financial & Operating Officer APAC, this role is responsible for, but not limited to:GeneralLead and manage the People team across Talent, Operations, Employee Relations, Learning & Development and Work Health & SafetyDevelop and implement People strategies and processes aligned to business requirementsWork in partnership with the Head of L&D to implement the L&D strategy and arrange any training requests for Support CentreOversee the Annual Performance Appraisal ProcessLead the Culture Committee ensuring there are ample initiatives organised throughout the year for special events/occasions and there are regular catch upsPlay a key role in driving engagement and performanceManage the People budgetAct as an escalation point to effectively manage any Fair Work cases with minimal financial or reputational loss to the businessHealth, Safety and WellbeingOversee all health, safety and wellbeing policies, procedures and initiativesEnsure site audits are completed and corrective actions are undertakenOversee any incidents and ensure investigations are carried out if requiredOversee the management of workers compensation claims ensuring complianceOversee the return to work process for injured team membersContribute to and oversee proactive wellbeing initiatives to address mental health and resilienceEnsure WHS training compliance at all locationsEmployee RelationsLead, coach and develop the People Relations ManagerManage more complex queries, grievances or investigations to finalisationDevelop and deliver training around ER issues as identified by trendsManage the annual employee engagement survey implementationPerformance ManagementCoach and oversee People Relations Manager providing tier 1 advice to managers and team members on performance issuesManage more complex queries, terminations or investigations to finalisationDevelop and deliver training around performance management issues as identifiedManage bi-annual performance management processRe-design and roll out of best practice underperformance frameworkRemuneration & BenefitsMember of the remuneration committeeGather relevant data for salary benchmarking and employee salary reviewEnsure all changes to Award rates are communicated to the relevant stakeholdersAnnual fairness testing to ensure we are paying our team members correctlyConsistently look for new benefits to add to our employee benefits packagesManage relationship with REST and offer employees training and supportTalentLead, coach and develop the Head of TalentOversee all recruitment processes and associated activitiesOversee onboarding of all new team members and monitor SLAsOversee cross boarding of current team members and monitor SLAsImplement new succession planning framework with relevant stakeholders and PTM and ensure a talent pipeline and career path is published and maintained/monitoredEnsure all communications and recruitment activity promotes our employer brandTechnologyLead on any people related technology projects keeping to budgetConsistently encourage team to adopt new technologies to enable process improvements and better efficienciesReportingWGEAMonthly & weekly reporting to JD Group UK HQMetrics on turnover, head count and absenteeism, time to fill roles, grievances, termination, workers compensation claims and other People initiativesOfficeOversee the smooth operation of head office ensuring team members have access to facilities and supplies requiredEnsure both the employee and customer experience is first class for anyone attending the officeWHO YOU AREDegree qualified in Human Resources or related disciplineMinimum 10 years experience in HR preferably in a generalist roleExperience working within a Retail environment or brand highly regardedPrevious experience managing a team and coaching and developing team membersProven experience in complex performance management and employee relations casesExperience designing and delivering training to suit business challengesExcellent communication both verbal and writtenIntermediate Microsoft Office skillsWHATS IN IT FOR YOU?Monthly culture committee eventsCentral CBD locationPre-pay day lunchesBirthday leaveCompetitive SalaryOne month paid parental leaveReferral bonus schemeTraining and development to evolve and shape your careerOpportunity to progress across all areas of the business including Retail, Support Office and our Distribution CentreTreat yourself with our attractive staff discount!
