Were currently supporting several transport and logistics businesses across Far North Queensland and are on the lookout for a reliable and experienced Leading Hand to support daily yard operations and lead by example.Based in locations such as Townsville or Cairns, this is a great opportunity to join an established business and play a key role in keeping things moving smoothly behind the scenes.Whats in it for you:Full-time, permanent roleCompetitive hourly rateMonday to Friday roster (occasional weekends)Be part of a safety-focused, down-to-earth teamGreat variety no two days the sameWhat youll be doing:Coordinating yard and depot activitiesPreparing loads safely in line with load restraint guidelinesCommunicating with schedulers, drivers, and depot managersAssisting with loading/unloading and basic equipment checksKeeping the depot organised, clean and safeSupporting drivers with readiness and dispatchWhat were looking for:Previous experience in a Leading Hand, Yard Supervisor, or similar hands-on roleStrong organisational and communication skillsSolid understanding of safety and compliance standardsAbility to lead by example and support team efficiencyLicenses & Tickets (Highly Regarded):HC or MC licenceForklift ticketCV Crane ticketRigger or Dogman ticketAbout UsWere The Virtual Recruiter a recruitment partner working closely with transport and logistics businesses across FNQ.
